There’s no Planet B

We leave the world a better place than we found it. We prioritise regenerating value not extracting. User-centred design is great, we go further to create things that are humanity-centred, climate-conscious, and safeguard the wellbeing of all living creatures on Earth, even those not born yet.

We focus on the outcome (not the outputs)

The means are not the end. How products and services get made is important, but methods, techniques, and tools are not why we get out of bed in the morning. Our raison d'être is to make a tangible, positive impact for the people, planet and communities who need us most. We consciously consider the ethical implications and unintended consequences our work might cause. We believe the best leaders rally people behind a clear why, not micro-managing the how.

Burnout isn’t a badge of honour

If a product can’t be made sustainably, ethically, and joyfully - it’s not fit for purpose. The best workplaces give people the care, autonomy, and psychological safety they deserve, and a shed load of fun while they’re at it. Our thinking is trauma-informed. We see the root causes of systemic burnout, and are committed to smarter and safer ways to achieve success, that don’t rely on exploitation or hustle culture.

Get sh*t done

We learn by doing. Nothing counts except getting the thing done, out the door, and into the hands of real users. Feedback is a gift. Less talk, more action, more learning. We “trust by default”, treat people like adults, create high accountability/ high safety environments, and this is our secret sauce to getting great results.

If you hurt one, you hurt us all

We stand for equality, diversity, inclusion and justice for all humans. We are proudly anti-racist, intersectional in our feminism, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. We bear witness to the harm, and work to change systems that don’t create positive outcomes for all. When mistakes are made (we’re only human), we seek to understand where we went wrong, and to do better through actions not words.
